If you buy this for your child they will toss aside the puppy and cuddle the blanket. The blanket will have to go everywhere with them and they won't sleep without it. You will eventually need a back up causing you to scour the internet for another one and paying twice as much for a second one in case the original ever gets lost or damaged.This is the second one I have bought for my grandson.He loves his "Woof Woof" sooo much that i thought we ought to have a "spare". ..The texture of this stuffie is awesome for him to self soothe himself to sleep.I've given it twice as a gift. Kids love the texture on the dog. The blanket is the softest I have found.
